In February 2024, I had the privilege of attending the 77th Anniversary of The Bronner Brothers Hair show in Atlanta, Georgia. As a veteran in the industry with 40 years of experience, every opportunity to work alongside esteemed professionals like Glynn Jackson is a cherished moment. When Glynn extended the invitation for me to be a featured artist, I was filled with excitement and gratitude. It was an honor to be recognized for my expertise and contributions to the world of cosmetology.
What made the experience even more special was the chance to bring one of my students along. As part of my coaching and mentoring program, I had been guiding this student through her journey in cosmetology. While she awaited her state board exam, she had the unique opportunity to work alongside some of the most renowned talents in the industry. Being her first show, the excitement was palpable as she immersed herself in the vibrant atmosphere of the event. For me, the highlight of the entire experience was witnessing the growth and enthusiasm of my student. Seeing her thrive in such a high-energy environment, alongside her mentor, filled me with pride and joy. It was a blessing to be able to share this experience with her and to play a part in shaping her career in cosmetology. Reflecting on the event, I am reminded of the importance of giving back and blessing
others.
As I continue to grow and succeed in my own career, I am grateful for the opportunity to uplift and support the next generation of cosmetologists. It is a privilege to be able to pass on the knowledge and wisdom that I have gained over the years, knowing that I am making a positive impact in the lives of others.
